He married Nancy Maud Gibson, daughter of Fentes Clay Gibson and Sarah Hansford Self, on 12 July 1933 at Poteau, LeFlore County, Oklahoma. Claud Rice was Miner. He died on 16 May 1992 at age 78. He was buried at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, LeFlore County, Oklahoma.

     Claud James Rice married Hazel Taff. Claud James Rice was born on 6 August 1902 at Scott County, Arkansas. He was the son of Samuel C. Rice and Vashti Othella Self. Claud James Rice also went by the name of Jimmy.

     Cuthrel Edward Rice was born on 6 July 1938. He married Mary Alice Gober, daughter of John Dee Gober and Mary Delilah Woodall. Cuthrel Edward Rice died on 3 February 1969 at age 30.

Ethel Lavida Rice married John Hilward Harrison on 31 August 1915 at Scott County, Arkansas. Ethel Lavida Rice died on 29 April 1970 at Scott County, Arkansas, at age 76. She was buried at Square Rock Cemetery, Scott County, Arkansas.

     Maude Lee Rice also went by the name of Bunton. She was born on 19 February 1885 at Scott County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Samuel C. Rice and Vashti Othella Self. Her married name was Harrison. Maude Lee Rice married William O. Harrison on 22 January 1906. Maude Lee Rice died on 7 January 1980 at Scott County, Arkansas, at age 94. She was buried at Duncan Cemetery, Scott County, Arkansas.
